 Students Donate Art to Decorate
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Surgery Center at Satellite Boulevard

More than 50 Sweetwater Middle School students created artistic masterpieces to decorate the halls of the Children’s Surgery Center at Satellite Blvd.  The art show was hosted at the new facility to honor the donated works of art and to celebrate the grand opening of the center.  The artists and their families were treated to breakfast and a viewing of their artwork in the newly expanded facility.

The Children’s Surgery Center at Satellite Blvd. opened April 14 to meet the needs of the expanding pediatric population in Gwinnett County.  The Surgery Center offers pediatric surgical procedures by specialized, pediatric-trained surgeons and anesthesiologists. The donations of artwork from Sweetwater Middle School students keep the Surgery Center cheery, colorful – and most importantly, child-friendly.  One of the ways Children’s demonstrates its dedication to children and their families is by displaying artwork in our facilities created by children in our patients’ very own community.  Gwinnett has the fastest growing pediatric population of any Georgia county and expects an additional 30,000 children by 2009, making the need for Children’s Surgery at Satellite Blvd.  greater than ever.
